Sustainability
The waxes used have been FDA approved for food packaging and the Biodegradable Products Institute has concluded that they are biodegradable. The wax is a hydrocarbon wax containing paraffins and microcrystalline waxes, which are byproducts of crude oil distillation. These hydrocarbon waxes come from the earth and are natural and non toxic. As long as mankind uses fossil fuels we will produce these byproducts which make their use an environmentally responsible choice.
Use
Use warm hands to mould and seal the wrap around the item. Clean the wrap after use with a mild washing up detergent in lukewarm water and then rinse under cold water, dry naturally and reuse. The wrap will last at least one year if looked after this way. Once it has finished it’s useful life, it is safe to be cut up and added to your compost pile or used as a firelighter for your wood burning stove or bbq.
Do not use with pineapple, raw fish or meat. Not recommended for use in the microwave.
